We have recently had the opportunity to have a session delivered to some pupils and parents by Goalball UK. Goalball is a sport that is used in the Paralympics. The sport is for Visual Impaired participants, this meaning that they are blind or partially sighted. Goalball UK have made some of our children and parents aware of what it is like to play a sport as a person with a visual impairment. The children and adults that took part in the session really enjoyed participating and have also told me how they found it difficult to play with no sight (blindfolded). All participants have also told me how much fun they had during the one and a half hour session. We would like to thank Goalball UK for giving us the opportunity to take part in such a great session and also to the children and parents who came into the school to participate.
