Following the success of our World Book day book swap, the Reading Champions organised a second event which was held this week. Children from all classes brought in books that they had read swapped them for a new book. It was lovely to see so many children enjoying looking at and choosing books with their friends, discussing authors and giving recommendations to each other.
After school, the reading champions set up a book swap on the playground at home time so that adults could take a book home to read themselves. Books are also available every morning for parents and carers to take if they wish.
We will hold a final book swap next half term. Well done and thank you to the reading champions for their continuing commitment and dedication to encouraging the whole school community to enjoy reading.
