Y4 and Y6 Library Visit
Year 4 and Year 6 have visited the library this half term to have a look at the wealth of books available for them to borrow. They were shown how to use the library and were given time to have a look at the books in the children’s section. The children discovered that there are lots of books by their favourite authors; Jaqueline Wilson, Francesca Simon, David Walliams, Jeff Kinsey, Julia Donaldson on the shelves to read. Some of the children enjoyed looking at non-fiction books with their friends. They were especially gripped by the fascinating events described in the Guinness Book of World Records. Also, while at the library, both classes were able to visit the art gallery to look at the Frankenstein exhibition. They then made their own concertina book or monster cube. Later in the year, pupils from other KS1 and KS2 classes will be visiting the library. Reading buddies will escort their reading partner and help them to explore all that the library has to offer.
